
John
John brings more than 35 years of leadership experience in child welfare, family services, and special education to his work. Over the course of his career, he has been a dedicated advocate for children and families, as well as a trusted mentor to professionals across the human services field.
John most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Northern Rivers Family of Services, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the organization through a period of significant growth and transformation. Beginning in 2010 as CEO of Northeast Parent & Child Society, and later serving as CEO of Parsons Child & Family Center, he went on to lead the formation and integration of Northern Rivers as a parent organization, strengthening and expanding services to meet the evolving needs of communities across the region.
Prior to his work with Northern Rivers, John served as Executive Director of Elmcrest Children’s Center in Syracuse for 13 years and led the Cayuga Home for Children in Auburn for more than a decade. His earlier career also included leadership roles in special education, including work with Hillside Children’s Center in Rochester.
John holds a bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College and a graduate degree in Special Education from Syracuse University. He is widely respected for his thoughtful leadership, deep commitment to service, and enduring impact on the organizations and communities he has supported.
