Brooke
Brooke brings extensive experience dismantling institutional barriers that prevent people from meeting their basic needs. Over the course of her career, she has worked alongside activists, policymakers, and sector leaders to create system interventions that foster dignity and equitable access to essential resources. Leading Pitney Meadows Community Farm represents the culmination of this work: an opportunity to harness the strength of regional agriculture and local food systems to build healthier, more resilient communities. For Brooke, guiding a true community-building model — one grounded in cooperation, collaboration, and grassroots resilience — is both a professional calling and a personal joy.
Brooke has been involved with Pitney Meadows Community Farm since its inception in 2016, serving as a supporter, volunteer, consultant, and Board member before stepping into the role of Executive Director in September 2023. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in transformative systems change, working at the intersection of public health, social care, and community impact.
Her career began with fund development for international women's programs at the Harvard Kennedy School, where she cultivated a deep understanding of philanthropy’s role in driving social change. She went on to hold leadership roles in a national reproductive access organization advancing equity across the Deep South, led public relations and community engagement for the NYS Medicaid Redesign program, and managed storytelling and brand strategy for Unite Us, a technology startup focused on channeling healthcare funds to community-based organizations.
Brooke earned her Juris Doctor from Albany Law School and is an alumna of Georgetown University’s New Strategies Executive Education Program for nonprofit leaders. Deeply committed to her hometown of Saratoga Springs, she has served on the boards of Pitney Meadows, Shelters of Saratoga, the Saratoga Institute, and Planned Parenthood.
