Barbara Glaser
Barbara was born and raised in Minnesota before moving to the Adirondacks where for many years she co-directed Great Camp Sagamore, a national historic site and educational conference center. She completed her doctorate in Family and Community Education at Columbia University and went on to help found or lead a variety of not for profit organizations including the Saratoga Springs Open Space Project (now Saratoga PLAN), the Adirondack Council, the Community Hospice, the Saratoga Institute, and the Nordlys Foundation. She is President of Linell Lands Inc. that has worked to conserve land through creative development plans and save historic buildings by adaptive reuse. Most recently, Barbara was inducted as Chair of the American Swedish Institute, whose mission is to share experiences around themes of culture, migration, the environment and the arts, informed by enduring links to Sweden.
