New “Flow On The Farm” Yoga Series at Pitney Meadows Offers Space To Unplug, Breathe, And Reconnect!
In a world that rarely slows down, where screens, schedules, and constant connectivity shape daily life, Pitney Meadows Community Farm is creating space for something different: a chance to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with what matters.
This season marks the launch of “Flow on the Farm: Yoga at Pitney Meadows,” a new outdoor yoga series designed to help people step away from the noise and reconnect with nature, with community, and with themselves.
Beginning April 30th and continuing through October 24th, this weekly offering invites participants to trade notifications for birdsong, studio walls for open sky, and busy routines for intentional movement and breath.

A Practice Rooted in Nature… and in “Now”
Held inside the farm’s open-air high tunnel, “Flow on the Farm” offers a unique, immersive setting where the structure itself responds to the elements… opening to sunlight and fresh air, or offering gentle shelter during soft rain. Surrounded by fields, gardens, and the rhythms of the land, each class becomes an opportunity to slow down and be present.
“At a time when so many of us feel stretched thin and constantly ‘on,’ creating space to pause and reconnect is more important than ever,” said Cass Skarka, Assistant Manager, Marketing and Communications at Pitney Meadows. “Flow on the Farm is an invitation to step outside, breathe deeply, and remember what it feels like to simply be.”
Weekly Class Schedule
- Thursdays | 6:00–7:00 PM with Renee beginning April 30th!
- Saturdays | 10:30–11:30 AM with Brenda beginning May 9th!
Classes are $20, with scholarships available to ensure accessibility for all. Advance registration is encouraged, with day-of, cash sign-ups available. Participants must bring their own mat; additional props are optional. All levels are welcome.
And for those who like to ease into their Saturday mornings or linger a little longer after class, beginning June 6th through September 19th, Saturdays at Pitney Meadows will welcome Saratoga Sundry, a mobile coffee bar, on-site each Saturday morning, serving up delicious drinks alongside baked goods from Flour Child Bakery. Come a little early, grab something warm (or iced), and soak in the sights and sounds of the farm coming to life. Whether it’s part of your yoga routine or simply a reason to linger a little longer, it’s one more way to savor slow, sweet Saturday mornings at the farm.
Guided by Experienced, Heart-Centered Instructors
Each class is led by local, experienced instructors who bring their own unique style and presence to the mat.
Renee offers Thursday evening flows that blend strong, fluid movement with restorative elements, creating space to unwind and reset as the day softens into evening.
“I’m so excited to be back to teaching group classes and to share this practice together in such a beautiful environment,” said Renee. “My style of yoga is a little like a dance—powerful and flowing, balanced with gentle, nourishing stretches. I love creating classes that leave you feeling strong, grounded, and refreshed, and I can’t wait to move, breathe, and flow together out on the farm.”
Brenda leads Saturday morning sessions focused on breath, fluidity, and creating space within, helping participants begin their weekends feeling grounded, energized, and open.
“I truly can’t imagine a better place to move and breathe than outside at the farm,” said Brenda. “Saturday mornings, I hope we leave feeling lighter, more open, and more balanced in our bodies, minds, and spirits. I’m honored to share this practice of awareness and presence with the community.”
More Than Movement: A Return to Connection
“Flow on the Farm” is more than a yoga class; it’s a shared experience rooted in community and place. Practicing together outdoors fosters a sense of belonging and calm that extends beyond the mat.
In a time when digital connection often replaces physical presence, Pitney Meadows is cultivating opportunities for real, embodied connection, where people can gather, move, and breathe together on the land.
Participants are encouraged to come exactly as they are, whether seasoned practitioners or simply seeking a moment of peace outdoors at their community farm.
