Larry Woolbright

Chair, Buildings and Grounds Committee

Larry Woolbright is Professor Emeritus of Biology at Siena College where he taught ecology and environmental science courses for more than thirty years. His research was on the population ecology of amphibians. He also worked as a consultant, designing open space preserves for development projects. As a life-long organic gardener who composts, grows most of his own food, and landscapes his property with native species, he values stewardship of the natural world. He believes our culture has become too removed from nature and that Pitney Meadows does a great job of reconnecting people with the land and with their food supply. His past volunteer work includes Friends of the Kayaderosseras, the Ballston Spa School Board, the Town of Milton Planning Board and Open Space Committee, and Mayor of Ballston Spa.
