Meet Derone Melton, a Community Gardening Intern at Pitney Meadows Community Farm. Though new to gardening, Derone has quickly developed a love for it—perhaps a passion carried over from a past life! A deep connection to nature and a joy in sharing it with others has been part of Derone’s life since childhood.

Beyond gardening, Derone is also passionate about the arts, including martial arts, dancing, singing, acting, and attending festivals. Grateful and honored to be part of the Pitney Meadows team, Derone appreciates not only the kindness of the staff but also their genuine commitment to giving back to the community and caring for the environment.
