Cara
Cara is committed to building stronger, more connected communities through hands-on nonprofit work and people-centered policy. She has worked across a range of grassroots organizations, where she’s seen firsthand how access to food, housing, and economic opportunity can shape the health and resilience of entire communities. These experiences have fueled her interest in systems-level change rooted in local action.
Currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy at the Hertie School in Berlin, Cara is passionate about affordable housing and inclusive economic development as key drivers of community wellbeing. This summer at Pitney Meadows she’s excited to support an initiative that uses food to foster empowerment, sustainability, and community growth.
