Bart Altamari

Bart is a community volunteer who worked at Skidmore College a an Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs and at Four Winds Hospital as an Activity Therapist. She was a founding member of the Yaddo Garden Association and developed a Horticulture Therapy Garden at Four Winds. The garden served to use plants and plant based activity for the purpose of human healing and rehabilitation. Pitney Meadows Community Farm serves many of the same purposes by providing nutrient rich food to those in need in our community. “When volunteering at Franklin Community Center Food Pantry, I see thousands of pounds of vegetables we grow on the farm going to families who are in need of healthy food. I’m proud of the hard work the staff and volunteers doing order to provide this lifeline to our neighbors in our community.”
