PMCF Ready for Back to School
With students returning to school this month, we are renewing our commitment to provide fresh, healthy food to our school partners through the Farm-to-School program. While there is uncertainty ahead, Pitney Meadows Community Farm is working closely with school lunchroom operators to adjust to their changing needs and meet the challenge of delivering meals to students in the classroom during the pandemic. We expect to provide cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, broccoli, sweet potatoes, and white potatoes. Working together with local chef Kevin London, the Saratoga Springs School District is committed to incorporating our fresh produce into their fall menus and preserving the summer's bounty for use later this winter.
