Introducing Our New Community Engagement Framework for the 2024 Season!
Community engagement is the heart of Pitney Meadows Community Farm, where learning thrives amidst the vibrant tapestry of our working farm, community gardens, and woodlands. As we gear up for an exciting 2024 season, we’re thrilled to unveil our refreshed community engagement framework, designed to foster connection, learning, and growth for everyone who visits us.
At Pitney Meadows, we believe that learning is not just about acquiring knowledge; it's about experiencing it firsthand, rooted in the rich soil of our living classroom. Our programs are built on the principle that learning is a collaborative journey, where each participant brings their unique perspective, enriching the collective experience for all.
Accessibility Matters
Before we delve into the exciting details of our new framework, we want to emphasize our commitment to accessibility. Through our Community Access Fund, we strive to make all our programs economically accessible, offering free programs and individual participation scholarships to ensure that everyone can join in the learning journey. You can support this fund by donating today.
Explore to Learn
Our youth and family programs, under the banner of Explore to Learn, invite kids and their families to immerse themselves in the wonders of nature and agriculture. Here, amidst the changing seasons and the rhythms of farm life, participants forge connections with the land and their food. Through hands-on activities and exploration, we aim to cultivate a community of care—for ourselves, for each other, and for the earth that sustains us. This program is under development for the 2024 season and program announcements will be coming soon!
