Matthew Doherty

Matthew was raised in Haddon Township, New Jersey before attending the University of New Hampshire to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems with a dual major in Ecogastronomy. During his education there and in the years that followed, Matthew has had the opportunity to work on seven very different grow operations. Most recently, Matthew acted as interim manager at Our Giving Garden, a community center/education farm where he learned to hone his skills as a community leader and nature educator. Matthew wants to spend his life reconnecting people with the natural world and their food systems, and as the Production and Program Assistant at Pitney Meadows, he’s in a perfect position to do just that.
