Giving Back

Our farm is unique because we don’t grow to make money; we grow to give! Our philosophy of farming means growing for the community and with the community.

Food Security

Access to Farm-Fresh Produce

We have made a commitment to supply Saratoga County and beyond with fresh produce donations to food pantries, senior programs, and other programs to feed the community.

In 2020 we donated 22,350 pounds of fresh produce:

  • Nearly 90,000 servings
  • Estimated value over $62,000
  • 4 fold increase from 2019

Farm-to-School Program

Fresh vegetables, delivered just-picked from the fields to our schools, create more nutritious school-day meals for children and promote better overall health. We launched our Farm to School Program in early 2019 in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension and the Saratoga Springs City School District. Our two-year grant-funded program through the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, now re-funded for two additional years, has allowed us to grow food for our district as well as two other school districts. Working closely with Cornell Cooperative Extension, we offered volunteer opportunities on the farm for High Schoolers and on-site field trips for the elementary schools.
