Calling All Artists: Fire Feast on the Farm Design Contest

Announcing our first-ever Design Contest for our summer Fire Feast on the Farm event!

Fire Feast on the Farm, now in its fourth year, has grown into a premier event for the summer season in Saratoga Springs. Fire Feast brings together the talented regional culinary community that is at the forefront of showcasing, encouraging, and supporting the local, sustainable, and seasonal food movement. The event also showcases the varied and amazing products from farmers, foragers, fishermen, wineries, breweries, bakeries, and distilleries from within our vibrant community, highlighting the amazing diversity of hand-crafted and inspiring artisan products.

Like everything we do at the Farm, Fire Feast is grounded in collaboration and community. This year, we are opening up a Call for Artists Design Contest to submit ONE piece of work to be judged by our Fire Feast Planning Committee. One winner will be selected and the artwork will be shared in our promotional materials (with artist copyright) as well as featured prominently at the event. The winning artist will receive a $100 stipend as well as two tickets to the events.

Rules, Submission & Evaluation Information:

Age Requirement:
This contest is open to all artists 15 years of age or older.

The Work Must Be Original:
You must be the creator of the art and image file you submit to the contest. Your art must be your own original concept and not a copy of anyone else's copyrighted material. (If your image infringes upon another's copyright it will be disqualified.) Upon submitting your work, to this competition, you are solely responsible for any infringement on copyrighted materials.

Repeat Entries:
Only one submission is allowed. If you submit more than one, we will only use your first submission.

Non-Exclusive Permissions:
By entering this art contest, you are granting us a non-exclusive perpetual license to reproduce images of your artwork on our website and in our newsletters, in the marketing of the Fire Feast event to the general public, and on items for sale at the farm. Artworks will not be used for any other purpose than that which is stated here.

File Formats:
The acceptable file formats are: jpg, gif, and png.

Judging Criteria:
Does the submitted artwork fit the theme of Fire Feast on the Farm: community, food as connector, sustainability, agriculture, farm-to-table, etc.?
Is there a creative interpretation of the subject/ theme?
Is the originality of the work interesting?

Does the work impact the viewer in relationship to the theme?

Ability of work to be used in marketing/merchandise capacity.
